Ethan was a valuable resource for me to successfully navigate my private disability claim! I was overwhelmed and struggling with the process of taking on a huge task. He walked me through how the process works; he gave me the positives and negatives of my case, and how the insurance company would be viewing it and operating. He empowered me to work through my case to a successful ending. He was extremely generous with his time and great to work with! I highly recommend that you reach out no matter where you are in your process, whether you think you may need help or not. Just make the call, you won’t feel pressured or stressed; you will leave informed and empowered. A lawyer giving lawyers a great name! Thanks again Ethan!

In 2021, I was faced with having to medically retire from dentistry. My insurance agent strongly suggested that I contact ETHAN ABRAMOWITZ prior to submitting any disability claims. I couldn't be an happier that I followed this advice. Ethan guided me through the entire process. He and his assistant, Monica, with my input, prepared my claims, and presented them to the insurance companies, professionally prepared and in a timely manner. Ethan advocated for me when an insurance company wasn't treating my claim fairly. Our relationship is on-going as my claims are reviewed annually. He serves as a liaison between me, my doctors, and the insurance companies. In hindsight, I couldn't imagine going through this process without his guidance. ETHAN ABRAMOWITZ is an expert in this field, and should you be faced with a similar situation, I urge you to utilize his services.

As an educator, I teach my residents the importance of the security provided by disability insurance. The main issue that arises when going out on claim, is to be protected by having great legal representation. That’s where attorney Mark Seltzer Associates has expertise. They will make sure the insurance company plays fair and provides the protection you paid for over the many years of your practice. Mark is a hands on expert in the field of disability. Let’s hope you never need his services, but if you do, he’s the man!

I was fortunate to be referred to Seltzer and associates when I became progressively ill and it was clear I would no longer be able to continue working as a physician. I contacted the firm before filling out any disability paper work. I cannot emphasize how important it is to get a competent law firm like Seltzer and Associates involved in the process as early as possible. Their experience and competence in dealing with physician disability made a huge difference in the successful outcome of my disability claim. I highly recommend this firm if you need expert assistance at any point in your disability process. I worked closely with both Mark Seltzer and Ethan Abramowitz and found them to be responsive and highly competent.

I have always taught my children that there are attributes in life, that define an individual. They include kindness, hard work, commitment, and "doing the right thing". The constellation of the four will contribute to helping others and secure confidence in themselves. I mention this because, I needed a lawyer who possessed those four qualities and i knew, that the search would be difficult. I was frightened, anxious, and insecure, having minimal exposure to legal care in my past. Then thru the recommendation of a trusted therapist, I was led to Mr.Seltzer. Beginning with the initial phone call, he was kind, reassuring, commited to my issue, with the conviction that he would do his best for me. I took a deep breath and knew that I found a lawyer who exemplified the attributes that I taught my children would lead to success. Not only was he persistent and successful with the issue, in addition, he navigated several steep hurdles, therefore,I have been the beneficiary of his tireless effort on my behalf. Despite the near completion of my case, he continues to persue the matter with "hard work and commitment". I am indelibly grateful. His staff of paralegals could not be nicer,or more cooperative, and it is obvious that his attitude has permeated the entire staffs approach. As aforementioned,I was frightened and anxious prior to our connecting. The offices entire approach and effort have made this issue pleasant, gratifying and successful for me.I think that says it all.

Seltzer & Associates deliver top notch services. They have been representing me for nearly a decade. Ethan Abramowitz takes all the stress away as he manages the relationship with the insurance companies. He oversees and reviews all correspondences with the companies. That includes paperwork and conference calls. Ethan determined my compensation had been underpaid for 7 years. I highly recommend retaining their services.

I have been assisted by Seltzer & Associates with my disability claim for over a decade. Their firm has been an invaluable resource and source of support throughout this entire period. After functioning as a Pathologist/physician for 25 years, I was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma and underwent intensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. Over the next 14 years I had three recurrences with subsequent intensive therapies, and, with Mr. Seltzer’s counsel, I retired approximately 3 years ago. Following my initial treatment, it took me a year to return to a full workload; however, I then discovered that I was no longer able to work at my prior pace. Following thorough evaluation this was determined to be the result of chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment (“chemo-brain”). As a result, I negotiated with my Group to practice at a 50% workload during a regular work week for 50% compensation. Though the disability insurance company provided complete coverage of my illness during the year of treatment while I was not working, I was unable to receive their support a year later for residual disability in my newly negotiated work arrangement. I was referred to Mr. Seltzer’s firm and they knew exactly how to assist me in obtaining the disability benefit due to me. His partner and their administrative support team helped me with everything – from showing me how to properly apply, complete, and submit forms, to arranging evaluations, to overseeing compensation calculations, to communicating with and following through with the insurance company. Though the initial struggle with the insurance company took a few months to resolve, once the benefit was finally determined, Mr. Seltzer’s team has ever since been with me every step of the way. This has included periodic additional evaluations, additional status updates, additional benefit review, etc., all required by the insurance company. Seltzer & Associates knowledge base, experience, and service was reassuring and supportive during every one of these follow-up assessments over the years. When my initially assigned attorney moved on to another firm, Mr. Seltzer himself took over my case to assure me that nothing would be lost in translation. Mr. Seltzer and I have since become very good friends during these many years, and I have gotten to know his staff extremely well. They are all extremely professional, knowledgeable, competent, friendly, and personable. The entire team has always been there for me during all my ups and downs, and together we have never missed a step. Thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and incredible service. My life would not have been the same without you! Marty K, Ohio
